WHOLE BEAN PACKAGING AND STORAGE
We package our coffee as whole beans, freshly roasted, to maintain the ultimate flavor for you – coffee matures to its full flavor potential about 3 to 5 days after roasting.
Since the flavor of ground coffee fades rapidly, you will want to invest in a grinder so you can grind just what you want to brew, then reseal the rest of your beans to retain freshness for many weeks.
Traditional wisdom says that coffee beans lose their flavor after a few weeks, yet one GCC client reported amazing results from a sealed package that was forgotten in the back of a cupboard for four months! Store your coffee in a cool, dry place if possible.
“Should I store my coffee beans in the freezer?”
Although some people advocate keeping coffee in the freezer, we feel that freezing to “preserve freshness” actually degrades delicate origin flavors of premium, single-origin coffee beans.
